Dr. Arushi Prakash embarked on her academic journey in 2006 and pursued MBBS at HIMS,Dehradun. After obtaining expertise in Ophthalmology with an MS degree from JNMC, Belgaum in 2016, her insatiable thirst for knowledge led her to pursue further specialization in Pediatric Ophthalmology, Neurophthalmology and Strabismus at the LV Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad.
Thereafter she gained numerous years of experience working at LVPEI’s Kalam Anji Reddy Campus, Hyderabad and Kode Venkatadri Chowdhary Campus, Vijaywada, at Shantived Institute of Medical Sciences, Agra and RUHS College of Medical Sciences, Jaipur. She is a nationally and internationally renowned speaker and has many publications and awards to her name.
Driven by a deep commitment to helping young patients she has focused on eye disorders in children, ranging from infants to adolescents. Her expertise in this field enables her to address a wide range of conditions, including refractive errors, lazy eye (amblyopia), strabismus (crossed eyes), congenital cataracts, and genetic eye diseases.
She has honed her skills in the specialized field of neurophthalmology, becoming proficient in the evaluation and treatment of visual disorders related to the nervous system. Her comprehensive understanding of neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, and ophthalmic pathology allows her to diagnose and manage complex conditions such as optic nerve disorders, brain tumors affecting vision, double vision, and neurologic manifestations of systemic diseases.
She collaborates closely with neurologists and neurosurgeons to provide multidisciplinary caret to her patients.
Squint, also known as strabismus, refers to the misalignment of the eyes. As a prominent authority in this area, Dr. Arushi has extensive experience in the evaluation and management of both pediatric and adult patients with squint.
