Review policy
Reviews help families choose. Here is how we keep them honest.
Who can write a review
Only signed-in people whose mobile number has been verified by OTP. You can write one review per vendor per event.
Verified booking
A review carries the 'Verified booking' mark only when it is linked to a completed booking made on Shubh Bazaar. Reviews of vendors hired elsewhere are welcome but are shown as not verified.
How reviews are collected
You can review from the day after the function for 180 days. We remind you 3 / 14 days after the function. Vendors may also ask past clients for a review, but they may never ask for or offer anything in exchange for a rating. Reviews need at least 50 characters and may include up to 6 photos.
Automated checks
Before anyone reads it, every review is checked for abusive language, personal data, contact details, links, copied text, many reviews from one device or network, sudden bursts of reviews, and links between the writer and the vendor. The checks only flag; they never decide.
Human moderation within 72 hours
A person from our team reads every review and decides within 72 hours whether to publish it. Until then it is not public.
Positive and negative on equal terms
A review is judged by the same content rules whatever its rating. Nobody — not a vendor, not our staff — can hide a review because it is unflattering.
What vendors can do
A vendor can reply once, publicly, to a review and can report a review for moderation with a reason. A vendor can never edit or delete a review.
Incentives
If we ever offer a thank-you for writing a review, it is for writing only — never for a rating — and such reviews carry a visible label.
Why a review may be rejected
We reject a review only for one of the reasons listed on this page. The writer always sees the reason.
Questions or complaints
Write to us from the Help centre or the grievance page and we will look at it again.
